    WASHINGTON The president of Toyota’s U.S. operations acknowledged to lawmakers on Tuesday that the company’s recalls of millions of its cars may “not totally” solve the problem of sudden and dangerous acceleration.

    But when asked broadly by Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., whether the two recalls Toyota put in place would “solve the problem,” he replied: “Not totally.”

    For the fanboys….

    I’m buying one of these next week. is it safe? like is the fix for the recalls implemented? because if it is i can easily throw all that recall shit behind me and buy this car :) Always wanted it anyways. won’t change my path because of some recall.

    toyotas are under so much recall. the prius just recalled for their brakes and the camry for the stering. plus the 5 million other cars for the gas pedal. ford, chevy, dodge kill toyota. Since toyotas gas pedal stick so much this is there new slogan:

    Toyota Moving Foward, even if you dont want too

    Where’s your head? ALL Toyota’s aren’t under recall? Those are the ones still better than any domestic. & “Foreign cars” don’t suck. They’re still better than any Chevy Ford or Dodge. Toyota no longer builds what you need, they build what the customers want. & in this case it’s all about consumers that want bells & whistles instead of a traditional Toyota

    I drive a 1984 Toyota 4WD & I wouldn’t have it any other way. Toyota is CURRENTLY falling but it’s the consumers & stock traders fault

    Toyotas are all crap. And people choose them over the big 3. Toyotas now recalling over 2 million cars. They even suspended buyers from getting new ones. Nobody can buy a new toyota until problems are fixed. I LOVE IT. There so nice, there so fuel efficient, there so reliable- BULLSHIT . Thats why foreign cars suck.

    We went to the toyota showroom and the nissan showroom and the LC200 is migger then the nissan, if they’re both the same size, i must say the nissan is very underpowered.

    @1ohtaf1
    Well, i don’t see a differnce in the size.
    I believe that the new Patrol 2011 or 2012 will be a shock to Toyota.

    @omar03dammam The Nissan is not entirely in the Class of the landcruiser, it is smaller.

    I like the 97 Models or older because of the looks and the rugedness, this Newer SUV is pethetic, who would want to take the $65,000 up in the mountain and beat on this thing offroad, and roll it over, beside the Sequia is cheaper and has the same engine of this thing

    So right, with the Land Cruiser is more than enough. Its luxury combined with off road capabilities.
