Rear suspension
Ever-so-clever De Dion arrangement gives brilliant handling and good grip. The A-frame De Dion tube and Watt-link location also makes for a very simple, long lasting installation. The arrangement has its critics, but I find it feels superior to many production RWD setups. The wheel location is independent of body angle and cornering load, making the car’s behaviour very predictable. The main drawbacks are possible lack of grip on uneven surfaces and some loss of refinement, due to the unsprung weight.
Rear wheel bearings are non-adjustable double-roller, and are near impossible to change at home
Changing the Watt link bushes has brought a huge improvement.
